Tater

Tater is a gelded Silverbay. Besides being so gorgeous he is one of the most intelligent horses Cindy says she has ever had in her 19 years of breeding these beautiful babies. That says a lot about Tater. He loves people. We will start his more formal training when he comes to the farm. Cindy works with all of her horses so he is halter trained and he loves to follow her everywhere she goes when she’s in the pasture with him.

When Jim and I met Tater he was immediately attracted to Jim. He came right over to Jim, again a complete stranger to him, and Cindy told Jim to exchange breath with him. This is something Cindy does when each foal is born. She scoops them up in her arms and exchanges breath and breathes with them. It’s a form of bonding with a human and imprinting with her to the foal.

Jim got down on one knee and Tater stood completely still as Jim lowered his head to meet Taters nostrils with his and they breathed together. It was incredible to see such a beautiful display of instant love. I also did this with Sugar later in the day and her sweet breath was just magical. There is just such a healing and loving energy to do this with a horse I can’t describe. Cindy said to us this is something we can do with your clients that come to the farm. We were so excited. For me there couldn’t have been a more Sacred connection in this exercise. Little Tater is a year old and this is his therapy work already with no formal training. He just wants to work and he’ll be very fun to train.
